The middle child of a musical East Coast family, Kat’s life has always been filled with art.
Walking through the front door of her home is a sensory delight. Fresh flowers filling handcrafted vases, eclectic art hangs on the walls.
Children’s toys are scattered and music is floating through the house. Collected treasures fight for elbow room on window sills. The kitchen shelves tell stories of Kat’s adventures and her love of craft.
Kat’s metalsmithing journey began in 2006 when she took a jewellery making class in Pushkar, India. She continued to hone her craft throughout travels in Southeast Asia, the mountains of Mexico, and the eastern shores of Canada.
In Kat’s designs there has always been a stylistic synergy between experience and expression, a melding of tradition and freshness, and above all a keen eye for beauty.
A passion for humanitarian causes and the environment drives Kat to push for excellence in her sourcing of materials, and influences the way she chooses to do business.
